The Morning Hollow is a Nashville-based folk duo featuring Kathryn Dambrino and Ned Henry. Formerly known as Kat & Ned Sing Songs, the pair blend intimate songwriting, acoustic instrumentation, and close harmonies that have become the hallmark of their sound. Their musical partnership began years ago when they were unexpectedly paired to sing a duet at a mutual friend's wedding. What started as a one-time performance quickly revealed a rare vocal connection and natural musical chemistry that led to years of collaboration, live performances, and original songwriting.
A Mississippi native, Kathryn grew up singing with her sister in blues bars throughout the Delta before pursuing a career in healthcare. Ned is a longtime Nashville musician, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose previous band, Brother Henry, shared stages with artists including Guster, Jars of Clay, and Dave Matthews Band. As a studio musician, he has recorded with Ben Folds, Steve Earle, Widespread Panic, and many others.
In 2023, the duo independently released their first full-length album, The Record, produced by Viktor Krauss. In 2026, they began a new chapter as The Morning Hollow with the release of Sister Moon, produced by David Henry, which is a collection of songs exploring love, grief, wonder, anxiety, resilience, and the beauty found in everyday life. Drawing inspiration from folk traditions, storytelling, and the landscapes that shape us, The Morning Hollow creates music that feels both timeless and deeply personal—songs meant to be lived with, revisited, and shared.
